Stadt auf den Philippinen, 50 km nördlich von Manila, Verwaltungssitz der Provinz Bulacan, 104 200 Einwohner. Hier trat nach Ausrufung der Unabhängigkeit der Philippinen (12. 6. 1898 in Cavite) im September 1898 ein Kongress zur Verabschiedung der demokratischen Malolos-Verfassung zusammen, auf deren Grundlage am 23. 1. 1899 in Malolos die Wahl E. Aguinaldos zum Präsidenten der kurzlebigen ersten Philippinischen Republik erfolgte. Im März 1899 nahmen amerikanische Truppen Malolos ein.
